Two Kates. One considered approach to mindful strength, resilience and recovery.
Kate discovered her love for Pilates at the age of 17, sparking a lifelong journey that fueled her passion for women’s health. She faced a high-risk pregnancy and endured postnatal depression for several years. These experiences deepened her understanding of resilience and recovery, reinforcing her dedication to Pilates in women’s health.
Upon returning to work, Kate trained as a certified BASI Pilates instructor in 2019, earning advanced qualifications in Pre and Postnatal Pilates and Breast Cancer Recovery, bringing unique insight and empathy to her clients. She furthered her studies by enrolling in the BASI Legacy Programme, practising and teaching Pilates at the highest level. Kate had the honour of completing the BASI Master 1 Programme at BASI headquarters in Newport Beach, California.
A former long-distance runner, Kate underwent a hip arthroscopy following an injury that required surgery. As a Pilates instructor, she was able to draw on her knowledge of movement, anatomy and rehabilitation throughout her recovery. Pilates played an integral role in helping her rebuild strength, stability and confidence in her body, and she was able to successfully rehabilitate herself back to good health.
Kate combines her knowledge and experience to help others feel stronger and more resilient—leaving energized and even taller after every session.
Movement has always been one of Kate's most loved forms of expression. Long before earning her Master’s degree in Chiropractic or spending hours on the Pilates reformer, her body was learning the subtle art of balance, alignment, and strength through sports, a professional dance career with the South African Ballet Theatre, and endurance events like Ironman and the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon. She learned early on that physical freedom shapes everything about how we experience the world—how we breathe, how we hold stress, and how fully we show up in our daily lives.
Her goal every single day—whether you walk into her practice or Pilates studio struggling with back pain, seeking postpartum alignment and strength, or trying to rebuild after an injury—is deeply personal. Driven by a simple, unwavering intention, Kate wants every patient to leave her presence better than when they first arrived.
Healing isn't just about adjusting a joint or correcting a movement pattern; it’s about ensuring patients feel heard, supported, and transformed. She blends the precise, clinical science of chiropractic care with the restorative, foundational control of Pilates to create a space where the body can recover its natural grace and resilience.
When you step into her practice and studio, you aren't just getting a treatment—you are gaining a dedicated partner in your well-being. Whether unlearning poor posture, rehabbing a tough injury, or giving an infant a comfortable start in life, Kate's promise is to meet you exactly where you are, help you unlock your body’s potential, and ensure you walk out the door feeling lighter, stronger, and better equipped to move through the world.
